ABOUT THEATRE WINTER HAVEN

Theatre Winter Haven has been called “one of the best community theatres in America” by the Tampa Tribune, the Lakeland Ledger and the Winter Haven News Chief. Since our founding, Theatre Winter Haven has worked to fulfill our Mission Statement:

“We inspire, challenge, entertain, and educate our community by creating exceptional theatrical experiences”

Theatre Winter Haven was established in 1970 as the cultural arts arm of the City of Winter Haven.  In 1981, Theatre Winter Haven became a separate, nonprofit entity registered as a 501(c)(3). Each year, Theatre Winter Haven produces a five-play MainStage subscription season, a three-play youth series, a Professional Series, and numerous Tribute Tuesday Series events.

Opened Fall of 2022, the Norman and Linda Small Stage, Theatre Winter Haven’s new Blackbox theatre now serves as second performance space for both performers and audiences to connect in a purposeful and uninterrupted way.
