ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS FOR HANDS ON A HARDBODY!
Theatre Winter Haven is excited to announce auditions for Hands on a Hardbody, coming to the Norman and Linda Small Second Stage February 11–21, 2027!
Hands on a Hardbody will be directed by Karissa Barber, music directed by Chad Sell, choreographed by Shannon Schreier and stage managed by Robin Lusk Snarr.
Inspired by a true story, this heartfelt, hilarious, and deeply human musical follows ten Texans competing to win a brand-new pickup truck. The rules are simple: keep one hand on the truck, and the last person standing drives away with the prize.
We’re looking for a diverse company of strong singers and compelling storytellers to bring these unforgettable characters to life. This is a true ensemble piece, with rich, complex roles and opportunities for performers to really shine.

In the event an actor cannot attend regular auditions, they may audition at a pre-arranged time if the director desires this.

If you wish to be considered for ONLY a certain role or roles, please indicate this clearly on your audition form.
In most cases, a complete cast list will be posted 48 hours after the final callback audition. Only those who have been cast will be called.
Theatre Winter Haven endeavors to cast new faces and fresh talent whenever possible, and encourages anyone who is interested to audition. However, casting decisions are quite subjective we recognize that not everyone will be pleased with the final choices.
Whether the auditions are public or private is up to the director. Each person will be given a chance to sing, read and/or dance as necessary unless you have a request to the contrary.
